IPhone 14 for businesses: Which advantages do they bring?

Apple's biggest live event: At the Apple Keynote 2022 , new Apple Watches and AirPods Pro were presented in addition to the iPhone 14. We summarize all the innovations and show why the iPhone 14 is interesting for businesses.

iPhone 14 (Plus) and iPhone 14 Pro (Max) for businesses

The iPhone 14 was the highlight of the presentation. It is available in different varieties:

iPhone 14

  • A15 Bionic Chip
  • Super Retina XDR-OLED-Display in 6,1 inches
  • 12 megapixel-camera on the back
  • Crash-detection e.g. when in a car crash

iPhone 14 Plus

  • A15 Bionic Chip
  • Super Retina XDR-OLED-Display in 6,7 inches
  • Advanced battery longevity
  • 12 Megapixel-camera on the back
  • Crash-detection e.g. when in a car crash

iPhone 14 Pro (Max)

  • A16 Bionic Chip
  • Advanced OLED-Display with Always-On-Funktion and advanced Peak-Brightness until 2000 nits
  • Dynamic Island (Pile-Hole-cutout) on the front instead of notch
  • 48 Megapixel-camera on the back
  • Crash-detection e.g. when in a car crash

All devices work without a physical SIM card and only run with eSIM. It is interesting that the iPhone Mini has been completely removed from this year's lineup. Whether the mini versions of the iPhone will continue to be produced in view of declining sales figures is questionable.

Which iPhone for which purpose in the business?

Apple has proven in the past that the iPhones and Ipads are equipped with a reliable, self-contained and secure operating system thanks to iOS. On average, Apple devices are generally rated more secure than Android devices. The main reason for this is that Apple's software is not freely available. No one not directly associated with Apple can see how iOS is built. Malware specially programmed for it is thus less likely.

So if you want to equip your employees with powerful and easy-to-use mobile devices, the iPhone is the obvious choice.
The new iPhone 14 Pro Max can be particularly interesting for businesses. Thanks to the larger display, it can become a handy, mobile workstation and thus promote mobile working from anywhere.
Because the new iPhone 14 generation is equipped with an excellent camera, finished tasks can be documented particularly precisely.
Photos of trade fair appearances, employee photos and much more can also be handled internally and used for marketing and employer branding.
For companies that employ many employees in the field, the iPhone 14 Pro offers a longer battery life due to optimized power consumption. This is made possible by the A16 Bionic SoC battery.

Instead of iPhone 14 for your business: Ever thought about Apple Watch 8 and Apple Watch Ultra?

The Apple Watch also comes in new versions. Besides the new Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 8, the focus was on a completely new model:

Apple Watch Ultra

  • Aimed at ambitious athletes (especially divers)
  • 30 hours battery run-time
  • Durable Rugged-Design
  • Action-Button with individual set up of functions
  • New sensors for temperature measures
  • Crash-detection e.g. when in a car crash

In our experience, Apple Watches are useful additions to conventional work devices. In particular, short notifications, calls, etc. Can be received with it in an uncomplicated way.  It is very easy to configure with an MDM, because every notification that the iPhone receives can also be received by the Apple Watch.
